How to remove paint from clothes?
Act while it is wet and the type decides the method. Latex and other water-based paint comes out with warm water and dish soap, worked from the back of the fabric. Oil-based paint needs the solvent named on the can — usually mineral spirits — applied before it cures.
If the paint has already dried
Dried latex can sometimes be softened with rubbing alcohol or a commercial paint remover made for fabric, then scraped gently and washed. Dried oil paint is often permanent, because the film has cross-linked into the weave rather than sitting on it.
Whatever you use, blot rather than rub — rubbing drives pigment deeper into the fibres — and test on a hidden seam first, since solvents can strip dye.

- Waiting. Wet paint comes out; cured oil paint usually does not come out at all.
